I’m a cat parent, researcher, and educator—not a veterinarian—but everything I write comes from real-life experience, deep learning, and a commitment to helping pet parents act before it’s too late.

Why I Write About Cat Health

In 2021, I adopted three cats—Simba, Shadow, and Grace. Like many pet parents, I loved them deeply but didn’t fully understand how subtle and serious cat health signals can be.

In 2025, I lost Shadow after a series of illnesses that escalated faster than I understood at the time. Looking back, the signs were there—weight loss, hiding, lethargy, appetite changes—but I didn’t know how to interpret them or how urgent some situations were.

That loss changed me.

I realized that many pet parents don’t lack love—they lack clear, simple, and practical information. Medical terms feel overwhelming. Emergency situations feel confusing. And cats don’t show pain the way humans expect.

That’s why I created Bark & Meow Tales.

What I Focus On

I write content that helps cat parents:

  • understand cat behavior and early warning signs
  • recognize emergencies vs. non-emergencies
  • learn about nutrition, hydration, and preventive care
  • respond calmly during critical situations
  • ask the right questions at the vet

My goal is not to replace veterinary care—but to help pet parents reach professional help sooner and more informed.

Every article I write is:

  • researched using reliable veterinary sources
  • written in plain, easy-to-understand language
  • reviewed for clarity, safety, and responsibility
